of artifacts from the period.
The
Online Medieval & Classical Library contains the full text of an English
translation of Heimskringla or The Chronicle of the Kings of Norway
by Icelandic poet and historian, Snorri Sturlson (c. 1179 - 1241). Snorri, as he
is commonly known, wrote the text in Old Norse around 1225.
